Vogue just declared "Viva la press-on nail"
(We're Featured in Vogue!)
Vogue Scandinavia just declared "Viva la press-on nail" and we got interviewed for the piece. (And we're excited)
The fashion authority wrote a comprehensive feature about the undeniable resurgence of press-on nails in 2025, and Nitro&Co was chosen as one of the brands to represent this beauty revolution. The headline says it all: these aren't your '90s press-ons anymore.
When Vogue Calls the Press-On Revolution
According to Vogue's feature, press-on nails are experiencing an "undeniable resurgence" because, frankly, the world finally caught up to what we knew was inevitable. Gone are the flimsy, pop-off plastics of the '90s, replaced by quality that rivals salon work and the creative freedom to switch up designs at will without being locked into one look for weeks.
The pandemic pushed beauty enthusiasts to discover "the convenience of at-home, salon-worthy nails in minutes," but honestly, we think people were just tired of the salon cycle altogether. Why commit to one aesthetic for a month when your personality changes three times a week?
Most importantly, Vogue concluded that press-ons are "ideal for everyone." Not just for busy people or nail-damaged recovering addicts like myself, but everyone. Universal beauty freedom, if you will.
Nitro&Co, "The Best For Daring Design"
Here's where we get genuinely excited. Vogue Scandinavia featured us as "Best for Daring Design" and described us as "new girl on the scene" from Helsinki with something special to offer. Their take on our designs hit different: "If you are looking for nails with a little something more, this is the brand to reach for. From 3D flowers and multicoloured gemstones, to silver line art and match green ombres, Nitro&Co. have something for everyone."
But what really got us was how they captured our value proposition: "Designs that would take hours in the salon and cost more than a pretty penny are available in seconds for less than €40." Exactly. Why spend half your Saturday and your entire paycheck when you can get statement nails that actually reflect yall sides of your personality?
They quoted our philosophy about building a nail wardrobe: "You wouldn't wear the same shoes to a meeting, a dinner party, and a kickboxing class, so why lock yourself into one nail style?" But most importantly, they captured our brand ethos completely: "We say we create 'statement nails for soft girls, baddies, bimbos, mob wives, rave mums, vanillas and villains' because we know that as women we're not just one thing. We're all of them depending on the day, the mood and the era we're in."
Viva la Press-On Nail Indeed
The comprehensive article signals that the press-on era is officially here, and according to Vogue, it's perfect for everyone. We couldn't agree more.
In a room full of realists sticking to safe salon choices, we create Daring Designs for the surrealists.
